Vigilante Group Rescue 2 Abducted Brothers, Kill 3 Kidnappers In Delta

A vigilante group in Kokori town, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State have single-handedly rescued two brothers who were kidnapped in Otumare village between Okpara-waterside and Eku community on 7, May, 2019.

BIGPEN ONLINE gathered that the victims simply identified as Aaron and Felix Iliya were rescued by a team of vigilante personnel led by their chairman, Mr. Sylvester Omonigho at about 12: 30 hours at Egbo forest Kokori.

Local sources told our correspondent that the vigilante men had engaged the suspected kidnappers in serious gun battle and in the process killed three (3) of them.

The source identified those that were killed as Richard Omoveke, Onoriode Madefo and Samson Ezekiel.

One of the suspect simply identified as Efeture Omorite was said to have escaped with bullet wounds and some arms during the gun duel.

The victims have since reunited with their family without payment of any ransom, our source disclosed.

Police source says the corpse of the kidnappers are in the custody of the Isiokolo police station as of time of filing the story on Saturday morning while the vigilante group have launched a manhunt for the fleeing suspect.
