Buhari Off To UK On Private Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari is jetting out to the United Kingdom after his official visit to Maiduguri, Borno state capital on Thursday.

Femi Adesina, the president’s spokesman, said Buhari trip to Britain is private and not official.

He is expected to return on May 5, 2019, about three weeks before he takes the oath of office for a second and final term in office.

On Wednesday, the president was in Lagos to inaugurate a number of projects executed by the state government.

“He is now in Maiduguri to inaugurate developmental projects especially in the sectors of education, healthcare and roads”, Adesina said.

After today’s official visit to Maiduguri, Mr. Buhari will then proceed to the UK and will be there till May 5 “on a private visit”, Adesina added in earlier hours of Thursday.

BIGPEN ONLINE recalls that Mr Buhari had made similar trip abroad tagged ‘private visit’ in most cases he was treated of undisclosed ailment.
