Elections: Delta Government Declares Friday Public Holiday

The Delta State Government has declared Friday, 8th March, 2019 as a public holiday.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, said the holiday was to ensure full participation of Deltans in the upcoming governorship and house of assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, 9th March, 2019.

The statement advised Deltans to take advantage of the holiday to travelling to their respective areas of registration for the exercise of their franchise.

Meanwhile, the State Government has stated that in appreciation of the participation of the voting public in the electoral process so far, has called for the sustenance of the momentum in order to consolidate on the gains of our democratic experience.
