Revealed! Uduaghan Govt Owed Contractor Handling Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri Road N8.8b – Okowa

Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has said that Deltans should blame the immediate past administration of Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan for its failure to complete the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri road in Warri South Local Government Area.

Governor Okowa made the disclosure at the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s Campaign held at the Warri Township Stadium on Wednesday as reported by Newsroom247.

According to the Governor, ”You don’t have to blame me that the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri road is not completed. Blame the immediate past administration and not me.”

Governor Okowa disclosed that on assumption of Office the past administration owed the contractor handling the project the sum of eight billion, eight million naira.

BigPen Online couldn’t independently verified the claims as at press time but Governor Okowa told the mammoth crowd during the campaign, “Because of the debt, the contractor abandoned work and moved out of site.”

Governor Okowa who was flanked by his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Commissioner for Transportation,Mr. Vincent Uduaghan and others noted that on assumption of office, ”I mobilized the contractor back to site with three billion, three million naira so that they can complete the project.”
