Following backlashes trailing BigPen Online report that House of Representatives Minority Leader, Leo Ogor who has partial stroke couldnt move to the podium to pick his candidature flag during the party campaign flag off, his media aide, Michael Akpodhoma on Monday owned up to the story.

He said however that, “the issue is inconsequential” for Ogor’s opponents to go about campaigning with it instead of reeling their agenda for Isoko people.

Specifically, Ogor’s aide said the member representing Isoko South constituency II, Johnson Erijo actually received Ogor’s PDP flag on his behalf from the podium as was reported by this medium but it was inconsequential to campaign with it.

According to him, instead of supporters of Ogor’s main opponent, Joel Onowakpo Thomas of the APC to campaign with their agenda, “they were are busy manufacturing all manners of falsehood just to blackmail Ogor’s image and candidature”.

He however lamented, “It is either one person is pointing accusing fingers at Ogor for his own misfortune, or another person is asking why Ogor didn’t receive his party flag, instead Hon Erijo did”, wondering if the opposition party members are not aware Prince Johnson Erijo is PDP Director-General of Isoko South PDP campaign committee.

“Are they also aware Sen Peter Nwaoboshi was totally absent from same event, yet his opponents in Delta North senatorial district are not seeing it as an issue for campaign but rather they’re busy telling Anioma people why their candidates should be supported instead of Peter Nwaoboshi?

According to him, in 2015 general election during the PDP flag off ceremony, Ogor was far away outside the shore of the country, and his PDP flag was received by a representative, querying why Ogor’s main rival, Onowakpo and his supporters who were reportedly also in that event, “they didn’t see it as an issue then, why now? That’s exactly what desperation for power can do to people”.

“They are busy manufacturing all manners of falsehood just to blackmail Ogor’s image and candidature. Yet they’re not telling the Isoko people what they’ll do for Isoko nation if elected. The supporters of Joel Onowakpo are complaining over his sudden disappearance and his inability to share common christmas rice, instead of addressing their supporters they looking for who receive PDP flag at Oghara township stadium”.
