Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the PDP in the election is from the local government.

BigPen Online could not independently verify this, but as sourced from TheCable, there have been allegations of inducement of voters by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP in the state.

At unit 1, Asunmk ward in Talafia area of Ede, an APC agent claimed to have some money with him to be distributed to those who voted for the party.

Inducement of voters was one of the challenges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) faced in Ekiti state.

The commission had vowed to tackle it in Osun, seeking the support of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

INEC resident electoral commissioner of in Osun, Olusegun Agbaje had said if vote-buying is not killed in the ongoing governorship election, the country would be in serious trouble in 2019
