Barely 24 hours after he declared June 12 Nigeria’s new Democracy Day and conferred the title of GCFR (Grand Commander of the Federal Republic), posthumously, on the presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to gazette his orders.

As a follow up, President Buhari, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu on Thursday asked Malami to immediately take steps to publish the Orders in the Federal Gazette in order for the awards ceremony to hold on June 12.
