“Yes there was a meeting in Abuja attended by all stakeholders including seven governorship aspirants for us to harmonise which we did and came out with a unity list to forestall further division in the party ahead of the 2019 elections in the state”.

BigPen Online couldn’t independently verified if Chief Great Ogboru/Senator Ovie Omo-Agege camp were part of harmonization but sources revealed that they were plotting to hold a parallel congress in the 25 LG against the already reached decision of the party.

Sources however said that the “unity list” is what the National Working Committee has approved for today congress as delegates in the 25 local government councils in the state.

The party’s national leadership is making frantic efforts to unite the various blocs in the party ahead 2019 general election even as President Muhammadu Buhari is said to be interested in capturing Delta state for the APC.

Recalls that the outcome of the ward election which was dogged by violence in some part of the state have been shrouded in controversy with many expressing mixed feelings over it.
