JUST IN: Lokoja Magistrate Court Remands Melaye In Prison Custody

Senator Dino Melaye, who was earlier granted N90 million naira bail by an Abuja court has been remanded in prison till June 11, 2018.

Melaye, who represent Kogi West Senatorial District, was ordered remanded in prison by a Magistrate Court in Lokoja, Kogi State.

This followed his arraignment on charges of gun running, conspiracy and aiding of jail break by the police.

According to EagleOnline earlier report, Melaye had earlier been driven to Lokoja from Abuja on Thursday by the police in an ambulance.

A statement on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, had hinted of Melaye’s arraignment on Thursday after he was rearrested.

Melaye, according to the Channels Television report, was conveyed in an ambulance by the police authorities.
