The group, Foundation for Human Rights and Anti-corruption Crusaders (FOHURAC), have warned the River State Government against moves to ‘cover up’ the attempted murder case against Messer Isaac Numoupeide and Moses Numoupeide.

National President of the group, Alaowei Cleric Esq, said it has a petition in its possession from the Feke family over an attempt to gruesomely murder Messrs Isaac Numoupeide and Moses Numoupeide by one Hillary Iweazor who has now been remanded in prison custody in Port Harcourt by a Magistrate Court over the said act.

According to the group, “For the gravity of the offence and the evidence attached therein, we believed that the Rivers State Ministry of Justice will not treat the matter with levity.

“We have also been briefed by the family that one Emmanuel Feke who is the owner of a property the said Mr. Hillary Iweazor is trying to claim ownership has been missing since 2001 and his whereabouts still remains a misery.

“We have been duly informed that the matter has been referred to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for further advice by the Magistrate Court.

“However, in our findings, we discovered that some powerful persons are working behind scene to kill the matter.

“For the information of the general public, we are interested in the matter and we shall pursue the matter to its conclusion.

“We will not hestitate to expose any underhand dealings by those who are trading with our justice system. We already sent our team of investigators to the relevant departments in Rivers State for the prosecution of the case.

“The lives of the nominal complainants and the entire Feke family members resident in Port Harcourt are still under serious threat.

“If the State Government is so concerned about the security of lives and property then the attempted murder case against Hillary Iweazor before the Magistrate Court in Charge No: PMC/2891/17 should be vigorously pursued to its conclusion”.
