The Chief Executive Officer of multinationals Oil Companies on Wednesday, fearing possible implementation of arrest threat have honoured their invitation to meet with the Senate Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff and Marine Transport.

The meeting held behind closed door was to enable them explain their culpability in the alleged infraction that cost the nation over N30 trillion naira.

They were allegedly accused of shortchanging the country through various import infractions on Wednesday.

BigPen Online can report that their meeting is coming less than a week after the Senate issued the threat to arrest some of them who failed to show up during the initial meeting.

Among other things, the companies CEOs were accused of involvement in the infractions that allegedly made the nation to lose the whopping sum.

The Chairman of the Joint Committee, Senator Hope Uzodinma, confirmed the meeting.

Uzodinma said the concerned CEOs have appeared before the committee to give explanation on the alleged involvement in N30 trillion leakages.
