UBEC/SUBEB Conference In Asaba Reschedule Over Late Arrival Of State Education Minister

The 19th quarterly conference of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) slated for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Wednesday due to the late arrival of Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Onwuka to the event.

The conference which was planned to hold at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba with the theme “Textbook Policy: “An Effective Tool For Enhancing Delivery of Qualitative Basic Education In Nigeria”, was postponed following the late arrival of the Minister to the venue.

Delegates for the conference waited endlessly as from 9:am for Onwuka who only shown up when the hall have been deserted by invited guest.

Following the development, Onwuka who was to represent Mr. Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education at the event have to rescheduled the meeting.

Some of the delegates who were seen murmuring in the hall over the development before they retired to their various lodges, expressed disappointment over the minister’s lateness to the event, say that he is always going late to functions.
