The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has warned that Nigeria will be on fire if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) do not stay neutral in the 2019 General Elections.

Arising from a two-day strategic leaders meeting of the South South Caucus of PFN on the 2019 Election held in Warri, Delta State, it advocated that INEC must be objective and  remained indifference in the forthcoming polls to save the country from the looming danger.

Addressing newsmen on Wednesday, the National Vice President (South South) of PFN, Bishop Simeon Okah said the body will equally remained neutral in its support for those seeking political offices.

Okah said PFN is also opposed to the use of military men in the 2019 polls, and cautioned police and other security agencies to be involved in the election to maintain a high level of neutrality and take the protection of the lives and property of Nigerian’s as a top most priority.

He said: “PFN on its part, promised to be neutral, but said it will stand for the truth at all times and put the interest of the Church and the nation first.

According to him, Nigerians have confidence in Professor Yakubu , but it is now up to him not to disappoint the people.

“All votes must count, and there should be no room for any malpractices”, the PFN chairman warned.

Earlier, Tuesday, the PFN in a Social and Security Summit, with the theme “Sustaining Godliness in Governance“ educated pastors on values to watch out for in aspirants as the various political parties hold their primaries.

The church leaders were also told to educate their members to participate actively in the political process and not just sit back and complain.
