2027: Isoko South Has the Figures, Capacity to Produce Highest Votes Count in Delta’s LGAs – Ovoke Warri

The Executive Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comr.) Friday Ovoke Warri, has declared that the council is ready to challenge other local government areas in the State in the race to produce the highest number of votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Warri made the declaration on Thursday when the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, led members of the organisation on an interactive and sensitisation visit to Isoko South.

Speaking during the meeting, Warri said Isoko South had the votes and the political strength to surpass its previous electoral performance, stressing that unity and effective grassroots mobilisation would be key to achieving the feat.

He said, “We will challenge any local government area in Delta State to produce the highest votes. Isoko South has the votes, and we have done it before. With stronger mobilisation, unity and the collective efforts of our people, we can increase our votes beyond what we recorded in previous elections.

“We must take our message to the grassroots and ensure that our people understand the policies and programmes of government. Our youth-friendly Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has continued to demonstrate commitment to the development of Delta State, while President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has introduced reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy.

“The removal of fuel subsidy was a difficult decision, but it has increased resources available to the different tiers of government. We must therefore ensure that these resources are translated into meaningful development and improved welfare for our people.

“We must remain united, engage our people respectfully and mobilise effectively across our wards and communities. Isoko South has the capacity to set a new electoral record, and I believe that if we work together, we will achieve it.”, Warri said.

Warri also urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to remain committed to grassroots mobilisation and peaceful political engagement.

Earlier, the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, said the sensitisation visit was aimed at strengthening the organisation’s grassroots structures and equipping members with information on the policies and programmes of the Tinubu-led Federal Government and the Oborevwori administration in Delta State.

He described the success of both administrations as being in the common interest of the people and urged members to effectively communicate their achievements to the electorate.

Also speaking, the representative of Isoko South Constituency I, Hon. Bino Owende, expressed optimism that the APC would record greater victory in the area.

“If we were able to do well in previous elections and win despite certain factors limiting our strength, we should expect greater victory for the APC in Isoko South,” he said.

In his welcome address, the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Isoko South, Odio Obaro Godspower, said unity remained the organisation’s greatest strength.

He said, “Our strength lies in our unity. Through cooperation, mutual respect and collective commitment, we can achieve the electoral success our party deserves. There is no division among us; rather, there is a shared determination to mobilise every eligible voter and ensure victory for the APC.”

Odio Obaro added that the sensitisation visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the group’s grassroots structures and effectively communicate the policies, achievements and vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and other APC leaders.
