98 in Ondo Police Net: ‘Fake Mad Men’ Allegedly Fronting for Kidnappers

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested 98 suspected criminals, including fake madmen allegedly working with kidnppinggangs and robbery syndicates across the state.
The Commander of the Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading the suspects at the agency’s headquarters.
According to Adeleye, the arrests were made during a series of anti-crime operations targeting kidnapping, robbery, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities threatening public safety.
Adeleye said, 60 of the suspects are already facing prosecution in court, while 38 cases were settled through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process.
However, 13 more suspects are still being investigated ahead of possible prosecution.
“Some of the suspects were arrested at kidnapping locations while attempting to carry out abductions. He also uncovered a disturbing tactic allegedly used by criminals who disguise themselves as mentally unstable persons to avoid suspicion while carrying out illegal activities. he said
”The fake lunatics were involved in intelligence gathering for kidnappers, drug peddling, robbery, and other criminal operations.”he added
However,the operatives closely monitored their movements and tracked locations where they secretly charged phones, changed clothes, and coordinated attacks before eventually arresting them. he stated
