Isoko South Boss Congratulates Newly Elected Officials of NUT

Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri, has charged the newly elected officials of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Isoko South chapter to make a difference during their tenure and carry all teachers along in their scheme of things in order to avoid any form of frictions.

The council chairman gave the charge Monday, during a courtesy visit to his office, Oleh by a delegation, led by the NUT chairman Evi Okolo as part of a strategic initiative to foster a stronger alliance between the union and the local government administration.

Warri while commending teachers’ pivotal contribution to shaping the educational landscape of Isoko South, he charged the new executives to drive meaningful reforms throughout their term.

Warri however highlighted the importance of implementing impactful education policies for the local government, emphasizing that educators are crucial catalysts for educational transformation in the community.

“I am genuinely happy to have you here today. Your role as educators is crucial; you are the frontline agents of change in our society. We’re all security personnel in our various communities. Please protect our facilities in our public schools.”

Warri reiterated his administration’s dedication to enhancing educational standards, emphasizing that this objective is a pivotal component of his administration’s priorities.

The council boss, encouraged the educators to remain resolute in their roles even as he guaranteed ongoing support from the local government, particularly, concerning union secretariat affairs, contingent upon available financial resources and underscored the importance of teachers staying put at their assigned posts in rural areas.

Earlier, the new NUT executive, reaffirmed its commitment to collaborative efforts with Warri’s administration, aimed at aligning educational strategies and enhance the learning environment for pupils and students in Isoko South.

While outlining its key requirements, the union reiterated the strong bond between the council and the teachers association, highlighting the union’s commitment to joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational structure of Isoko South.

“We remain dedicated to working closely with your administration,” he stated. “Through collaborative efforts, we can create a supportive learning environment that benefits our students and the broader community.”

The visit concluded with both parties expressing optimism about future collaborations and meetings aimed at enhancing educational standards and infrastructure in Isoko South, marking a significant step towards establishing a mutually beneficial partnership that prioritizes the educational needs of diverse communities across Isoko South.
