JUST IN: Gov Oborevwori Announces Completion of 19-Year-Old Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri Road
The Delta State government has completed the 20.95 km Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri Road, featuring 15 bridges of various spans.
BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) reports the project, which was awarded 19 years ago, is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of next year.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced the completion of the project on social media, on Thursday, expressing his pride and gratitude to God for bringing the vision to reality.
“A promise made, and a promise kept,” he said, highlighting the significance of the project to the people of Itsekiri.
In a post made on his verified Facebook page Governor Oborevwori wrote; “We are proud to announce that yesterday marked the completion of the 20.95 km Trans-Warri–Ode-Itsekiri Road, featuring 15 bridges of various spans. With this, the project is essentially complete — 19 years after the contract was first awarded.
“This is a landmark achievement and a deeply cherished milestone for the Itsekiri people. A promise made, and a promise kept.
“We give God Almighty the praise for bringing this vision to reality. The project is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of next year”.
The completion of the Trans-Warri-Ode-Itsekiri Road is a landmark achievement for the Delta State government and a cherished milestone for the Itsekiri people.
The project is expected to improve transportation, boost economic activity, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents in the region.
