Delta: Ekrokpe Celebrates Appointment Of Illustrious Son, Duke Okoro As Poineer Rector Federal Poly Orogun

Ekrokpe Community in Ughelli South Local Government area of Delta state, was agog on Friday 17, March 2023, as the indigenes celebrate the appointment of their illustrious son, Dr. Duke Okoro as the pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Orogun.

The people were also full of praises for the deputy President of the Senate and governorship candidate of the All Progressive Party (APC), Sen. Ovie Omo Agege for making it possible.

Speaking on behalf of the community, the President General of Ekrokpe Community, Mr Sunday Ogoyibo, expressed joy and gratitude to Senator Omo-Agege for recommending their son for the appointment.

They said that the appointment was a great honour done the community.

The President General said “We the people of Ekrokpe Community wish to thank President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Deputy Senate President, Sen Ovie Omo Agege for the honour bestowed upon us to be the first pioneer Rector, Federal Polytechnic Orogun Delta State”.

“We are happy as a Community, as you can see there is merriment and excitement from all members of the community, both children, adults, men and women since the news came. We equally set today aside to celebrate throughout the night”.
