Tompolo: ‘A Living Deity, The Only Living Saint Among Humans’ Clocks 50
High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo, the Ibe Ebidou-owei of Ijaw nation is a messenger of God born in human flesh. He is a man with many descriptions because his mission on earth only known to his creator.
In every generation, God sent His children to liberate the oppressed people. In the days of old, He brought Samson to liberate the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines. Alas, Samson being a womaniser erred in the application of power.
Fidel Castro of Cuba, Mahatma Gandhi of India, Nelson Mandela of South Africa, Major Isaac Adaka Boro of Nigeria, Gen. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu of Nigeria were some of the martyrs among others in the world that God sent to liberate His people. In the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, God knew His son, Major Isaac Boro did not accomplish His purpose hence, He sent another hero in Tompolo to complete the liberation course.
Tompolo to the people of Niger Delta, is an institution. He represents the word, “freedom” in the minds of the oppressed people. That’s why an attack on Tompolo is an attack on ethnic nations in the Niger Delta region and even beyond. No wonder late King (Dr.) Robert Ebizimor described him as a man with double faced wild animal. To one side, he is a tiger and to the other side, he is a lion.
Tompolo to the African traditionalists, is the only living deity who stands between the gods and the human beings. He is therefore a spiritual initiate whom God has sent to fight for the oppressed, neglected, dejected and marginalised people of the Niger Delta region. He has unarguably attained the six levels of spiritual initiations to be qualified for sainthood. Thus, he is the only living Saint among humans to propagate his divine mission which is the liberation of the oppressed.
No doubt that the Niger Delta region is suffering from economic-cum political war of attrition in the hands of the Nigerian Government and the multinational oil companies. God knew our sufferings; He has heard our cries and has sent Tompolo, His heroic messenger in this generation to fight for us. Like him or hate him, Tompolo is only a spiritual being living among humans just for the purpose of setting the oppressed people of the Niger Delta region free from economic strangulation and political marginalisation.
Tompolo is no longer a human person but those who believe in freedom and justice; equity and fair play. He was born by a woman but he has transfigured at the sacred Egbesu Temple in fulfillment of his divine mission. An attack on Tompolo is therefore an attack on the collective will of the people God has sent him to liberate. His detractors should know that they are not fighting human being but a spiritual initiate whose vision is the collective aspirations of the oppressed across the globe.
As you attain the golden age of 50, my prayer for you is long life. The God who brought you on earth for the liberation course should continue to grant you wisdom and longer life to finish off your assignments. Happy supernatural birthday to our living legend.
