Professional Bodies Hail Okowa Over Tribunal Verdict

Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State over his second term reelection victory at the Election Petition Tribunal.

In a statement signed by its State Chairman, TPL Paul Akporowho and ESV Lewis Afolabi, Secretary, the group said that the victory at the Tribunal is an eloquent testimony of the massive support freely given to the governor by Deltans during the March 9, 2019 Governorship and House of Assembly Elections.

Deltans voted in your favour and the Tribunal has confirmed their mandate given to you, they said.

The statement further read, “It is our prayer as a body representing all statutorily recognized professional Associations in Delta, that this victory will spur you to increased commitment in the socio-economic, educational, health, industrial and infrastructural development of Delta State.

“We also earnestly believe that you will not relent, as usual, in your efforts to ensuring that the best of governance is delivered to Deltans.

“As a professional group that interfaces with government in ensuring that services are professionally delivered to the teeming masses, we are open to giving high level professional advice and constructive criticisms where the need so arise”.
