Okowa Appoints Ex-lawmakers, Ex-PDP Chair, 4 Others Special Adviser

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has approved the appointment of six additional Special Advisers, bring the number so far appointed to twelve.

BIGPEN Online reports that the governor had earlier requested the state assembly to approve fifteen special advisers for him after his swearing in on May 29.

Besides the Senior Political Adviser, Solomon Funkekeme, whom the governor first appointed, he has also named five others recently as advisers.

In a terse message announcing the new appointment, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, Secretary to the State Government, said date for the swearing in of the underlisted appointees would be announced in due course.

The new Special Advisers are:

(i) Chief Edwin Uzor
(ii) Hon. Pascal Adigwe
(iii) Comrade Mike Okeme
(iv) Prince Kelly K. Penawou
(v) Chief Mary A. Iyesere
(vi) Hon.Johnson Erijo
