BREAKING! Bandits Kill Policeman On “Stop And Search Duty” In Asaba, Cart Away Two Rifles, Pistol

Suspected armed robbers on Friday night killed one police officer at Kowen Plaza in Asaba, the Delta State Capital after they released bullets on policemen on “Stop and Search duty” in the area, BigPen Online can report.

The suspected hoodlums after the attack, made away with two service rifles belonging to the policemen and a pistol.

Other Police Officers on duty at the time of the attack sustained serious machete cut from the hoodlums who disarmed the police officers.

A source from the area, said there was sporadic shooting throughout the attack.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa, when contacted on Saturday morning confirmed the report.

CP Mustafa said, “It happened between 7-8pm. A Policeman died during the attacks. They carted away two rifles and a pistol. The Police is investigating the matter and I assure you that we will get to the root.”
