Tinubu Storms Akwa Ibom Friday For Project Commissioning, Heads To Rivers Saturday For APC Rally
President Bola Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, depart Abuja for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, where he is expected to commission several projects and participate in an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
The President will begin the visit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where he will commission landmark projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.
Ahead of the visit, Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to give the President a rousing reception.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located within the Victor Attah International Airport complex.
Tinubu will also commission the Airport-Okopedi Road, which traverses Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, connecting Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Other projects lined up for inauguration include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
The President is expected to leave Akwa Ibom for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday to participate in the APC political rally.
The Rivers rally will mark Tinubu’s third political rally since he formally flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The visits are also expected to provide the President with an opportunity to engage political stakeholders, party leaders and supporters, while reinforcing calls for political unity, stability and a shared commitment to national development.
