Enugu Killings Threat: Ex-Lawmakers Place ₦5m Bounty on Terrorist Leader

The Forum of Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly has announced a ₦5 million bounty for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspected terrorist leader who allegedly threatened mass killings in the state.
The forum’s chairman, Dr Josef Onoh, announced the reward on Monday in Abuja, condemning a viral video in which individuals allegedly threatened to invade the state and unleash violence.
Onoh described the threats as an attack on the peace and security of Enugu State, insisting that the state would not become a haven for terrorists, bandits or extremist groups.
He said the forum would support the state government and security agencies in efforts to identify and apprehend those behind the threats.
According to him, the ₦5 million reward would go to anyone who provides credible and actionable information to the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force or other security agencies, leading directly to the arrest and prosecution of the alleged ringleader.
Onoh also announced a separate reward of ₦50,000 for each individual whose full name and identity are verified and supplied to security agencies.
He urged the DSS and other security agencies to launch an immediate manhunt for those featured in the video.
The former lawmakers’ chairman called on residents to remain calm and vigilant, urging them to report suspicious movements or individuals to the appropriate authorities.
Onoh assured residents that the forum remained committed to protecting the state’s peace and would not allow threats of violence to intimidate law-abiding citizens.
