Delta at 35: Warri Congratulates Deltans, Hail Gov Oborevwori for Visionary Leadership
The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comrade) Friday Ovoke Warri, has congratulated the government and people of Delta State on the occasion of the state’s 35th anniversary.
Warri, in a goodwill message personally signed by the council chairman marking the milestone, described the anniversary as a significant occasion for reflection, celebration and renewed commitment to the continued growth and development of the state.
The council chairman noted that over the past 35 years, Delta State had recorded remarkable progress across several sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, commerce and human capital development.
According to him, the journey of the state over the years has been defined by the resilience, unity and collective contributions of Deltans, adding that the anniversary was an opportunity to appreciate the sacrifices and efforts of individuals, communities and successive administrations that have contributed to the state’s development.
The Isoko South council chairman also stressed the importance of preserving Delta State’s rich cultural heritage while collectively working towards a more prosperous and sustainable future.
He particularly commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for what he described as his visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable development and the welfare of the people through his administration’s people-oriented M.O.R.E. Agenda.
Warri called on Deltans to continue to support peace, unity and development across the state, stressing that the collective strength of the people remained essential to building a stronger and more prosperous Delta.
He expressed optimism that Delta State would continue to make meaningful progress and provide greater opportunities for its citizens, while remaining a beacon of peace, development and hope for generations to come.
Warri concluded by wishing the government and people of Delta State a memorable 35th anniversary, saying the milestone should inspire renewed determination to build on the achievements of the past and create a brighter future for the state.
