How FRSC Saved 15 In Early Morning Crash On Kano-Zaria Road
Fifteen people have escaped death after a DAF trailer conveying passengers and goods crashed along the Kano-Zaria Road at Gadan Yankifi in Kano State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kano Sector Command said the crash occurred at about 5:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the Corps, its rescue team arrived at the scene within five minutes of receiving the distress call and successfully evacuated all 15 victims.
“The victims were evacuated to Kura General Hospital for medical attention. No death was recorded in the incident,” the FRSC stated.
The accident, however, caused a temporary obstruction on the busy Kano-Zaria Road, disrupting the free movement of vehicles.
To clear the road, the Sector Commander, CC IM Lawal, immediately deployed the Corps’ tow truck to the scene to remove the damaged vehicle.
The FRSC has advised motorists plying the route to be patient and reduce their speed when approaching the affected area.
It also urged drivers to obey traffic rules and cooperate with FRSC officials and other emergency responders working to restore normal traffic flow.
