The Ugborodo Management Committee has called on the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, to ensure the prosecution of suspects earlier arrested and allegedly released over the December 2025 attack in Ogidigben community, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

In a letter to the Army Chief and copied to the National Security Adviser, the Director General of the Department of State Services, and the Inspector General of Police, counsel to the committee, P.O. Aihiokhai Esq, said the release of the suspects was generating tension in the oil-rich community.

According to the letter, the situation in Ogidigben is one of “fear and hopelessness” as some of the released suspects are allegedly regrouping.

“The situation in Ogidigben now is that of fear and hopelessness because these criminals are now regrouping to invade the community again.

We humbly appeal to you sir to intervene in this matter by getting those who were released to face prosecution. Your timely intervention will guard against further loss of lives and properties in Ogidigben community,” the letter stated.
