2nd Year in Office: Isoko North Boss Ogorugba Attributes Success to God’s Grace, Mercy
The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has marked his second anniversary in office with a thanksgiving service, attributing the successes of his administration over the past two years to the grace, mercy, and faithfulness of God.
The thanksgiving service, held on Thursday at the chairman’s executive council chamber, Ozoro, brought together political leaders, clerics, traditional rulers, party faithful, and supporters who joined the council chairman in celebrating what he described as two years of divine preservation and impactful governance.
Addressing the gathering, Ogorugba returned all glory to God for sustaining him and granting his administration the wisdom and strength to execute numerous developmental projects across the 13 wards of Isoko North Local Government Area.
The council said the infrastructural development, human capital initiatives, and relative peace witnessed in the council over the past two years were made possible through God’s grace and the support of the people.
Expressing optimism as his administration enters its third year, the council chairman quoted Proverbs 4:18, saying: “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” He added, “By God’s grace, we will do even more for the people of Isoko North in the years ahead.”
Ogorugba also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the opportunity to serve the people of Isoko North. He further thanked political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, APC stakeholders, and residents of the local government for their unwavering support, encouragement, and prayers throughout his administration.
Special prayers were offered for the chairman, his administration, and the people of Isoko North by prominent clerics, including Bishop Gilbert Adaigho, Bishop Sam Oyede, Pastor David Oyebande, Bishop Ben Eghaire, Bishop Emeruetta, and Ven. Roberts Oziwele, among others.
The event attracted a large turnout of dignitaries, political office holders, community leaders, party faithful, and well-wishers from across the 13 wards of the local government, who joined the chairman in celebrating two years of his administration and praying for greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
