The demonstrators, who gathered in the nation’s capital carrying placards and chanting pro-Tinubu slogans, claimed that Governor Makinde had deliberately exploited the kidnapping incident to advance his perceived 2027 presidential aspirations.
Speaking during the protest, member of the group declared their unwavering support for President Tinubu and urged political actors to allow the President to focus on governance and the implementation of his administration’s policies.
“Because you want to become President, you hid our children. Allow President Tinubu to work,” some of the protesters chanted, directing their criticism at the Oyo State governor.

The group further alleged that the handling of the Oriire schoolchildren kidnapping had been influenced by political considerations, although no evidence was publicly presented to substantiate the claims.
