‎Kebbi Police Arrest Seven Suspected Bandit Collaborators Over FRSC Personnel Killings

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested seven suspected bandits in a series of intelligence-led operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks operating within the Soda Forest axis and surrounding border communities in Bagudo Local Government Area.

‎According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, the suspects were apprehended during separate security operations conducted along the Illo–Lolo Road and the Bakin Ruwa–Ka’oje corridor as part of intensified efforts to combat banditry in the state.

‎NTANetwork report that, Police investigations indicate that the suspects are believed to have provided logistical support to armed criminal groups operating from forest hideouts in the area.

‎The Command disclosed that further investigations are ongoing to establish the extent of the suspects’ involvement in recent security incidents, including the deadly attack that claimed the lives of three personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

‎Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Umar M. Hadejia, described the arrests as a major breakthrough in the ongoing fight against banditry. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against criminal elements and ensuring the safety of residents across Kebbi State.

‎The Police Command also urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible information to aid efforts aimed at tackling insecurity in the state.
