Isoko North Boss Signs N15.7bn Appropriation Bill into Law

The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has signed a ₦15,765,689,606.40 2026 appropriation bill into law, tagged the “Budget of Consolidation.”.

The budget which was presented to the Isoko North legislative arm last week includes ₦7,431,365,960.33 for recurrent expenditure and ₦8,318,647,041.31 allocated to capital projects.

Signing the budget in his office Tuesday, Ogorugba assured residents of his administration’s commitment to building on the achievements recorded in the previous year, particularly in road infrastructure, health, education, and human development.

“Even as we approach a critical election period, our focus remains firmly on the development of Isoko North. We are determined to consolidate on the progress already made,” he said.

The council chairman while expressing appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for his continued support of local governments across the state, reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing the MORE Agenda of the Oborevwori’s administration at the grassroots level.

The brief budget signing ceremony was witnessed by the leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, Pascal Emeluaha, Clerk of the legislative arm, Oghale Oweh, Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mrs Irene Onwodi, Treasurer, Elo Ogbogbo; and other top officials of the council.
