Sir (Builder) Blessing Oghale Obomovo

As the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the people of Isoko North and South Federal Constituency have continued to clamour for a more competent, impactful, and people-oriented individual, one who truly has the interest of the people at heart.

Against this backdrop, many within the constituency have made up their minds to vote out the incumbent member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko.

According to the people of Isoko Federal Constituency, they have made their choice in the person of Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo, whom they describe as a redeemer capable of taking Isoko to the promised land.

For Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo, politics should not be about titles or positions, but about service, responsibility, and the opportunity to transform lives. For him, politics is not a career choice, nor is it a platform for personal ambition. It is a solemn responsibility, a call to serve and a vehicle through which meaningful change can be achieved for the good of the people.

His upbringing in Isoko land exposed him to the realities of underdevelopment, poor infrastructure, and limited opportunities, which in turn inspired his passion for solution-driven leadership. Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo has made modest contributions toward youth empowerment, education, women’s development, and support for vulnerable groups. However, he believes that philanthropy alone cannot address the long-standing suffering and marginalisation of the Isoko nation.

Permit me to briefly present a rundown of the biography of Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo, the man widely considered fit to represent the good people of Isoko Federal Constituency come 2027. With such an impressive profile, both academically and in terms of human character, one is compelled to ask: who would not take note of his entry into the House of Representatives race in Isoko?.

Sir (Bldr.) Blessing Oghale Obomovo is an illustrious son of Isoko land who hails from Otor-Owhe and Ozoro, with deep roots in Aradhe and Ofagbe in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, two proud communities that have shaped his values of integrity, discipline, and faith. He was born into the noble lineage of the late Pa Benjamin Obomovo Ogwara of Ekidhebi Quarters, Otor-Owhe, and Mrs. Elizabeth Obomovo Ogwara of Erovie Quarters, Ozoro, a prince of the Eluega ruling house.

Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo began his academic journey at Azagba Primary School, Otor-Owhe, and later attended Owhe Grammar School before completing his secondary education at the prestigious James Welch Grammar School, Emevor. His pursuit of technical excellence led him to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he obtained both his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Building Technology.

Even as a student, Sir Obomovo’s leadership instincts were evident. He served as President of the Otor-Owhe Students’ Association, President of the National Union of Isoko Students (NUIS, IMT Chapter), and Secretary of the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU, IMT Chapter), demonstrating early the qualities of a man destined to lead and serve.

Upon graduation, he refused to wait for opportunities, he created them. He moved to Lagos to begin a career that would define his legacy. He started with Eleganza Building and Construction Company and later joined Stabilini Visinoni Limited, a leading name in Nigeria’s civil engineering and construction sector.

At Stabilini, his exceptional work ethic, brilliance, and professional competence quickly distinguished him. Rising through the ranks to the position of Site Manager, he became a symbol of diligence and excellence, earning the admiration of colleagues and superiors alike. Guided by vision and courage, he established Standout Properties Limited (SPL), a contracting, real estate management, and property development firm headquartered in Lagos. Under his leadership, the company has grown into one of the most dynamic indigenous firms in Nigeria’s construction landscape.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Rome Business School, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Building (FNIOB) and a registered builder with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON), alongside memberships in other professional associations. For over a decade, Standout Properties Limited has delivered landmark projects across Nigeria, combining innovation, integrity, and craftsmanship.

Beyond physical structures, Sir Blessing Obomovo has invested in people by intentionally employing and empowering a significant number of Isoko indigenes within his company, reflecting his enduring philosophy of human capital development and homegrown excellence. He is also a devoted family man, blessed with children who reflect his humility and purpose-driven life.

On March 28, 2026, Sir (Builder) Blessing Oghale Obomovo bowed to the clarion call of youths, men, and women across Isoko Federal Constituency to throw his hat into the ring. Yielding to these calls, he formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives to represent Isoko North and South Federal Constituency. The Chief Executive Officer of Standout Properties Limited made this declaration under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

He anchored his aspiration on a clear and practical vision captured in the OGHALEISOKO2027 Agenda, a people-driven framework built on accessible representation, strategic legislative engagement, infrastructure development, quality healthcare, economic empowerment, and, above all, unity.

The renowned philanthropist is widely recognised for his contributions to the building industry, grassroots politics, sports development, and humanitarian services. In his declaration speech titled “My Dear People of Isoko North and South Federal Constituency,” he emphasised that representation must go beyond mere presence in Abuja—it must be visible and impactful at home.

He stated: “There comes a time in the life of a people when silence is no longer an option, and service becomes a responsibility that must be embraced with courage and clarity. That time is now. After deep reflection, wide consultations, and a firm conviction rooted in my lifelong commitment to our people, I hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the office of Member, House of Representatives… This decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by a burden for service.

“I come into this race as a son of the soil. I believe representation must be more than presence in Abuja. It must be visible at home. It must be felt in the lives of the people and must translate into measurable progress.” For the unshaken love and unwavering support shown to this illustrious son of Isoko land, the Otor-Owhe and Ozoro kingdoms of Isoko North Local Government Area have massively endorsed Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo as their preferred candidate for the 2027 race.

At Otor-Owhe Kingdom, his paternal home, the community gave him a rousing endorsement, describing his ambition as timely and aligned with the aspirations of the people. The leadership, under Wilfred Atunu and respected elders, offered prayers and blessings for his success. At Ozoro Kingdom, the endorsement motion was moved by Friday Arah and seconded by Sir (Chief) Raphael Oro Afemari (JP). The representative of the Ovie of Ozoro, Chief Solomon Akeni, put the question to the people, who responded with a resounding “Yes!”.

According to the President-General of the Ozoro Progressive Union, Chief Berkley Asiafa, the people have spoken with one voice and are ready to mobilise fully for his victory, describing the endorsement as a reflection of a shared commitment to collective progress. In his remarks, Sir Obomovo expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support, describing it as a call to greater service. He assured stakeholders of inclusive representation and pledged to work closely with leaders and constituents if given the opportunity.

Though the 2027 elections are still months away, the growing support for Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo suggests a strong desire among the people for credible and effective representation in the House of Representatives.

Sir Blessing Oghale Obomovo maintains a warm and approachable disposition across all social divides. He is widely regarded as a man of the people with a strong connection to the grassroots, and one whose philanthropic disposition reflects genuine compassion.
His vision is to build a new Isoko where equity prevails, infrastructure functions, and opportunities abound, where citizens can access basic amenities, quality education, and sustainable livelihoods.

Following his track record, many youths and political groups have thrown their weight behind him, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver transformative leadership. As consultations with stakeholders continue, it is increasingly clear that the conversation around leadership in Isoko Federal Constituency is shifting towards competence, integrity, and service. The 2027 elections, therefore, present a defining moment for the people of Isoko—to choose leadership that reflects their aspirations and secures their future.
