Ramadan: Ogorugba Seeks Nigeria’s Unity, Hosts Courtesy Visit from Muslim Leaders

Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba on Tuesday prayed for the continued unity and peace of Nigeria as well as the President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administrations.

Ogorugba also prayed for Muslims in Isoko North and Nigeria at large when he received on courtesy visit leaders of Isoko North Muslim community in his office in Ozoro.

Muslims faithful across the country are observing the holy month of Ramadan with prayers and fasting.

Receiving the Muslim leaders led by Alhaji Bob Oviemuno, the council chairman, ongratulated the muslim community for their prayers answered throughout the holy month of Ramadan, noting that the Almighty Allah will surely deliver every one’s expectations as they celebrate Eid al-fitr.

Ogorugba appreciated the muslim community leaders for their sacrifices in controlling their members to be good ambassadors of Isoko North and Nigeria as large and enjoined them to always be law abiding at all time.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of delegations, Alhaji Bob Oviemuno, appreciated the council chairman for approving the usage of the council secretariat for their Eid al-fitr prayer and the Joyful festival marking the end of the fast.

Alhaji Oviemuno maintained that Ogorugba has created an enabling environment for lasting peace and security between indigenes and non-indigenes to live together as one family irrespective of their religious backgrounds.

The Muslim leader reassured the Cchairman that they will continue to do everything possible in sensitizing their members to be law abiding as they carried out their business in Isoko North.

Some dignitaries present include; the leader of Isoko North legislative Arm, Pascal Emeluaha, the supervisor for environment, Joshua Alebe, Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Mrs Irene Onwodi, Treasurer Isoko North LGA, Fejiro Ogbogbo, Akponovo Festus SA to the chairman on technical matter, Achuenu Patrick, Hod work, among others.
