UPDATED: Isoko North Chair Ogorugba Urges Electorates to Participate in APC E-Registration and INEC CVR Exercise
Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has called for full participation in the ongoing All Progressive Congress (APC) E-Regristration exercise.
Ogorugba urged members of the party, residents of Isoko North and the general public to take advantage of the opportunity and actively participatie in the ongoing exercise.
He made the call, on Sunday, during the APC enlarged meeting held at the NULGE Hall in Isoko North council secretariat, Ozoro.
The meeting which features setting up E-Regristration and Supervising Committee from across the 13 wards of the local government, was well attended by leaders of the party from across the local government.
According to Ogorugba, “The E-Regristration exercise has been put in place to strengthen party unity, resonate grassroot democracy and as well give an easy access to individuals to become members of the great party APC.
Membership registration is essential for the mobilization, active participation, effective representation and to boost up membership drive across board within the party.
The council chairman however described the ongoing E-Registration exercise process as a welcome development that will help strengthen the party, give room for diaspora members to utilizing the process of becoming active members of the party, even as he laid emphasis on the need for unity and commitment among members ahead of the 2027 general elections.
”I must use this opportunity to urge the general public, particularly residents of Isoko North local government to turn out en-emass for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise being conducted by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) which is the means for exercising franchise as a patriotic citizen.”, Ogorugba appealed to the people.
Speaking earlier, the Isoko North APC chairman, Daniel Emebuno, highlighted the importance of the E-Regristration exercise, drawing a recap to past times where massive registration were done and voters results where poor, adding that residents should be sensitized on the need for them to come out en-emass and key into mobilization after registration ahead of the forth coming general elections.
While commending the efforts of the Local Government Chairman and that of the party leadership, Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko noted that unity should be the bedrock of Isoko adding that there’s need to build a united team stressing that members should come together to work together for the success of the exercise.
In attendance at the meeting were Jonathan Ukodhiko, member representing Isoko federal constituency, at the federal house of representatives, Bernard Odior, member representing Isoko North constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly; Joseph Onojaeme, Commissioner for Health; Emmanuel Okoro, pioneer Speaker Delta State House of Assembly; Emanuel Egbabor, former Isoko North chairman, Paul Oweh; Goodnews Agbi, SA Project Monitoring; Peter Akarogbe, APC State Secretary; Evelyn Aluta, Vice Chairman Isoko North; Mrs Minnie Igbrude, John Araka; SSA political, Richard Isagba, SSA to the Governor, Emmanuel Adolaji, Sunny Areh, the 13 APC ward chairmen among others.
