The Group CEO of NNPCL, Bayo Ojulari, has reportedly appointed exclusively women to oversee the company’s communication department.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) reports the new appointees are Adaobi Oniwinde as Acting Chief Corporate Communication Officer and Ms. Morenike Adewunmi as the Head of Stakeholder Relations.

This development follows the abrupt resignation of the former Communication Chief, Femi Soneye, whose departure is believed to be linked to scandals involving the NNPCL, including a controversial trip to Kigali amid a probe into missing trillions of dollars.

Sources suggest that Ojulari has a pattern of favoring female aides for sensitive positions.

The company has yet to officially comment on the appointments, opting to remain silent as public speculation grows.

Universal Reporters claims, “Femi was forced to resign against his will, following the report in the media that the NNPCL Board embarked on a lavish Kigali retreat with chartered private jets amid a Senate probe of ‘missing $210 Trillion. He reigned a day to the wasteful Kigali’s retreat.

“Universal Reporters learned that the report in the media rattled the NNPCL board, and as such, it became jittery to the extent that Femi’s inability to handle the scandal made him to be systematically kicked out in the name of resignation, even though he was earlier billed to go on the trip to Kigali.

“Following the appointment of the two ladies, the national oil company out of shame and fear of likely scandal have kept mum over the appointment, acting as if there has been no one to issue statements on its behalf”, the report stated.
