Foster Unity, Cohesion – Delta Council Boss Charges Newly Elected Isoko North NULGE Exco

The chairman of Isoko North Local Government council, Godwin Ogorugba has chargwd the newly elected leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Isoko North chapter to foster unity and cohesion among its members.

Ogorugba gave the charge when the newly elected chairman of NULGE, Gideon Esime led his exco members on a ‘thank you’ visit to the chairman at his office, Ozoro, headquarters of the council.

While ongratulating the new executives, the council boss urged them to be magnanimous in victory, stressing the importance of fostering unity within the union.

He urged the leadership to ensure that all members, regardless of their affiliations during the election, feel some.sense of inclusion, noting that such inclusivity would strengthen relationships and enhance productivity.

“First and foremost, I congratulate you on your victory because no election is small. Throughout the process, I insisted on fairness, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to participate.

“Just as we were all given the chance in our respective elections. We will sit down to carefully assess your requests and determine the best way to address them,” he added.

The chairman also highlighted some of his administration’s people-oriented policies and reaffirmed his dedication to governance that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

Earlier, Esime, said that they were at the office to thank the council chairman over his fatherly role before, during and after the Union’s election.

Esime, said; “We sincerely appreciate your support, sir, for ensuring a level playing field for all candidates and providing security throughout the election process.

“Like Oliver Twist, we will always ask for more, hoping that as we present our needs, you will consider them favourably,”, Esime said.

Present during the NULGE’s visit were the supervisor for Agriculture and Community Development, Thomas Akpoedafe, supervisor for Environment, Alebe Joshua, Special Adviser to the chairman, Oloku Erero, Personal Assistant, Isaiah Omoyibo and Director of Protocol, Jude Ogwologho.
