Omo-Agege Hails Faith Majemite On Her Birthday, Describes Her As ‘A Beacon Of Courage And Dedication’
Hon. Mrs. Faith Majemite, former Chairman for Ethiope East Local Government Area, has been described as a beacon of courage and dedication and an inspiration for women who want to venture into public service through political office.
Deputy President of the Senate in the 9th assembly, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, stated this in a goodwill message on her birthday e-signed by Sunny Areh, his Media Adviser, saying “Mrs. Majemite epitomises the virtues that the people desire to see in their leaders”.
“As chairman of Ethiopia East Local Government, the first woman to hold such position, she espoused and initiated innovative policies that changed the face of grassroots governance that impacted on infrastructure, empowerment, health and security.
“She holds steadfastly to the tenet of using public office to serve the people, no wonder her admiration and adulation by the people has continued to grow. As a politician, Hon. Majemite’s party loyalty is unparalleled and she never compromises her loyalty to her people by ensuring that they get their due from government”, Omo-Agege stated in his message.
Hon. Majemite holds the prestigious title of Oniemo 1 of Agbon Kingdom and continues to advocate for empowerment of women and support for women entrepreneurs.
