‘Yes, Foreign Terrorists Known To Govt Are In Delta State, I’ll Name, And Provide Evidence If Police Feign Ignorance’ – ex-Delta Commissioner Invited By Police Breaks Silence

A former Commissioner in Delta state and respected opinion leader, Professor Patrick Muoboghare, has accepted an invitation from the Nigeria Police Force to address allegations of terrorism, gun running, and stocking hard substances leveled against him.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) reports that Muoboghare, a native of Uwhere and some community leaders of Uwheru Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area, including one Macpherson Igbedi, Obukohwo Ekpevwru, Uruemusin Arhagba, Delta Ajamagran, Orunc Igbedi, Erhinodavwe Emerhivwe, Onoriode Igbedi, Mitain Arhagba, Ahere a.k.a Good and Bad Emmanuel Okashe, are under police investigation for alleged offence bordering on terrorism, and gun running.

It was not clear if the police were acting on a petition against the trios but an earlier report in the Niger Delta Today stated that the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of X-Squad Unit, Lucky Adagbon invited the trios to be at the Command’s headquarters, Asaba at 11am on Monday.

“This office is investigating the above mentioned case in which you and others were alleged. In the same vein, you are requested to come for an interface with the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Asaba, through the Office of the X-Squad Unit, Asaba, on Monday 30th September, 2024 at 1100hrs prompt”, the police invitation reads.

The invitation letter had Ref No CR: 3422/DTS/X-SQD/VOL3/172 and titled “Police Invitation Letter Re: Case Of Acts Of Terrorism, Illegal Possession Of Firearms, Gun Running, Criminal Intimidation, Dealings In Illicit Substance And Conduct Likely To Cause Breach Of The Peace”.

Reacting to the letter, the former ASUU leader and former commissioner for Higher Education, vehemently denied the “infantile allegations” maintaining that they were fabricated by individuals with ulterior motives, some of whom are on the “government payroll”.

Shockingly, he revealed that the invitation would be an opportunity to expose the truth about terrorism in Delta State, offering to reveal the locations and identities of actual terrorists.

He expressed doubts about the police’s willingness to take action but warns that he will provide evidence of their knowledge about the terrorists if they feign ignorance.

The professor, also expressed concerns about foreign terrorists taking over Delta State.

Specifically, he revealed that NIA, DMI, DSS, the Police Force Headquarters, the Governor and Local Government Chairmen know where the terrorists are in Delta State.

He, however emphasized the lack of a national policy to address the scourge, despite the government’s awareness of the problem.

The response letter reads;

“I shall honour the invitation extended to me by the Delta State command of the Nigeria Police Force, to interview or interrogate the ACP of the CP’s X squad on infantile allegations of terrorism, gun running and stocking hard substances.

2. Some insane characters, goaded by more insane paymasters, some on government payroll, made the allegations.

3. The invitation provides an opportunity for me to tell DTS Police command directly, where the terrorists are in Delta State and who they are, with the hope that the command will have the courage to go after them and which I doubt very much.

4. I believe that NSA, NIA, DMI, DSS, the Police Force Headquarters, the Governor and Local Government Chairmen know where the terrorists are in Delta State. Should the Police feign ignorance on Monday, I will prove to them that they know.

5. Foreign terrorists known to the authorities have taken over Delta State, but there is a lack of national policy to deal with the scourge and the government and I know this.
