The ongoing political cold war between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesome Wike, has taken a new dimension in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

BIGPEN NIGERIA https://bigpennge.com) reports that the development is coming as 27 members of the Assembly, on Monday, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A member of the Assembly, Enemi George, told Channel TV that the 27 lawmakers were under the leadership of Martin Amaewhule.

He said the decision was taken during their sitting on Monday morning.

BIGPEN NIGERIA had reported that rhe crisis snowballed after the burning of the Rivers State Assembly Complex on 29th October.

The rift among members of the State House of Assembly had led to some lawmakers commencing impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara. This move was, however, halted following the intervention of President Tinubu.
