Margaret Emefiele, wife of embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele on Tuesday, held his husband tightly by hand as operatives of Department of State Security Service (DSS) led him to court.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpengr.com) reports that Emefiele appeared before a Federal High Court in Lagos, to answer charges of illegal possession of firearms brought against him by the federal government.

He was arrested by DSS after he was suspended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and being charge by the federal Ministry of Justice for alleged possession of firearm without a license.

Emefiele who arrived at the court premises at 9:21 a.m was accompanied by his wife who held his hand while entering the court room.

He pleaded not guilty when the two count changes were read to him.
