Delta Govt Suspends Planned IPMAN Election Over Security Report

The State Government has directed the Delta State Chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN to suspend its planned election scheduled for Monday June 26, 2023 in Warri or in any part of the State.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Kingsley Emu, said the decision to suspend the election was based on intelligence report reaching the Government.

The statement added that the security agencies have been activated to ensure compliance of the directive to protect the lives and properties of people in the state.

According to the statement, IPMAN had scheduled to hold the state chapter election today Monday June 26, 2023.

With this development members of IPMAN in Delta State may need to put the planned election on hold until there are guarantees of holding the election peacefully.
