Why Court Restrained Ayu From Parading Himself As PDP Nat’l Chairman

Published

on

A High Court in Makurdi, Benue State has issued an interim injunction restraining Senator Iyorchia Ayu from parading himself as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The court, presided over by Justice W. I. Kpochi, gave the order on Monday after Ayu’s suspension by the party.

The order followed a suit, with No MHC/85/2023, filed by Terhide Utaan with Ayu and the PDP as defendants.

Kpochi, after giving the interim order, adjourned the case until April 17 for further hearing.

Ayu’s Igyorov Ward in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State suspended him on Sunday.
