DESOPADEC Disowns Fake Online 2022/2023 Bursary, Scholarship Program Portal For Undergraduates

The Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), has disowned a fake online portal for its 2022/2023 bursary and scholarship program.

www.bigpenngr.com reports that the interventionist agency said it has not open its portal for undergraduates in its mandate area contrary to reports making the round.

Chinenye Ezonfade, Head, Media & Public Affairs Department of the commission, in a statement on Tuesday said; “It has come to our notice of a fake, criminal scholarship portal that is trending online, purported to have emanated from Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and targeted at students of our mandate areas.

“This is to inform the general public, especially students from our mandate areas, that the said portal/publication was not from DESOPADEC and as such, should be disregarded in its entirety.

“For sure, DESOPADEC has always been desirous of giving students of our mandate areas opportunities to key into benefitting from our bursary and scholarship programmes in the past and is still in the process of doing so.

“We are however yet to open our portal for that purpose, for the current session. When we do, we will surely let everyone know about it through the instrumentality of our mandate areas students associations.
