Top leader of Nigeria’s senate described in national dallies as rubber stamp and one of the most expensive in the world, has joined the crowded Nigeria’s presidential race.
Senator Ahmed Lawan, the country’s senate president, on Monday, throw his hat into the ring increasing a list of presidential aspirants under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
A group of friends led by Chief Sam Nkire, a member of the National Caucus of APC and 15 other Senators, were said to have obtained the APC presidential nomination forms for the Senate President at the International Conference Centre venue of the sale of forms to APC aspirants.
His media adviser, Ola Awoniyi, was yet to confirm the development, but Lawan would become the 24th aspirant to pick the party’s N100 million expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the party’s primary election.
