Delta: Oborevwori’s Guber Ambition Unstoppable – Siakpere’s Group, Describes Negative Campaigners As ‘Disgruntled Elements’

The Siakpere Team for Sheriff Oborevwori, has said that Governorship aspiration of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori was unstoppable despite what it termed ‘campaigns of calumny’ against him.

The group described those behind the negative campaigns as “enemies of progress of Delta State”.

Director General of the group, Mr. John Ewhubare Siakpere, said that the Speaker who doubles as National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, was screened and issued with clearance certificate in Port-Harcourt, on Thursday, April 28th, 2022 to participate at the May 21,  governorship primary election of the PDP.

Siakpere while congratulating the frontline aspirant for his clearance for the primary, said the fact that the Speaker scaled the hurdles despite attempt by jittery elements to stop him, showed that victory was sure for him as he is eminently qualified to be the governor of the state next year.

The DG, who is leading the main support group for the Speaker’s aspiration, said that he is ahead of 13 other PDP aspirants seeking the ticket of the party for the 2023 governorship.

Siakpere, who is also a key member of some UK-based groups rooting for Rt Hon Oborevwori, especially Okpe Union, UK and Urhobos in Diaspora Good Governance Initiatives (UDGGI), said there was no encumbrance to the realisation of the governorship bid of Oborevwori.

He described those opposed to the Speaker’s aspirations as disgruntled elements who are out to fabricate and manufacture falsehood in order to serve their evil and wicked intentions.

According to him, Oborevwori was eminently qualified educationally, even as he added that all his educational qualifications were genuinely earned.

‘Oborevwori had been outstanding in all his dealings and activities, he is a square peg in a square hole’, he said.

Mr Siakpere also expressed dismay over what he dubbed ‘needless controversy over the names on Rt.Hon Oborevwori’s credentials’, arguing that all his names were unambiguously in the public domain over the years.

The prominent UK-based Okpe indegene and legal practitioner, said all transactions, especially his certificates, carried his names – Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.

He said since the initials “F.O”. represented “Francis Orohwedor”, he wondered what informed the hullabaloo about the appearance of those names on his certificates.

” The hullabaloo over his names and educational qualifications are misplaced and ill-motivated. Even his critics know that he is very qualified to serve as Governor of Delta State. He went to those schools, the certificates were not cooked and manufactured. Doubting Thomases can go to Edo State University, Ekpoma and Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, to verify their frivolous claims. God has put all detractors to shame and by May 21st, 2022 and after the 2023 Governorship election, we are going to sing victory songs,” Mr Siakpere added.

Mr Siakpere noted, “Our man, Rt. Hon.Chief, (Elder) Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, is the next Governor of Delta State, comes May 29th, 2023”.
