But a source closed to Dagogo dismissed the allegation  saying the lawmaker was not in the arena when the protesters stormed the venue.

The source said that a group of aspirants vying for the House of Assembly and National Assembly tickets had protested the refusal of the PDP Committee to screen them.

He said: “While they were addressing journalists at the PDP secretariat, policemen arrived the scene and started shooting into the air. They arrested some of the aspirants and took them away. Dagogo was not there. Why will they declare him wanted?”, he queried.
