Gunmen Open Fire At Delta Lawmaker’s Vehicle, Shot At Close Range, Hospitalised

Hon. Reuben Izeze Esq, a member representing Ughelli South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, was reportedly shot by gunmen on Thursday.

Izeze, was shot at close range by the armed men who reportedly opened fire on his vehicle around Effurun, Uvwie council area of the State.

Sources said that one of his side who was with him was seized by the gunmen but was later released.

Details of the incident were still shetchy as at press time but witnesses said Izeze survived the attack and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

The Lawmaker who was admitted last night was waylaid around 9:pm in Effurun while returning home.
