Senate Peter Nwaoboshi has joined the All Progressive Congress, barely few days after he was suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), in Delta State.

BIGPENNGR reports that Nwaoboshi was suspended few days ago by State Working Committee of the PDP in Delta following his recent seething attacks on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The senator who represents Delta North Senatorial District was slammed a one months suspension from the party for anti-party activities.

But on Friday, the senator was seen in company of APC leaders at the presidential villa where he met with President Buhari.

Confirming this, presidential spokesperson,  Garba Shehu, in a statement captioned “President Buhari Congratulates Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi for Decamping to APC”, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja welcomed Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi to the All Progressives Congress (APC), after he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Garba said President Buhari told Nwaoboshi, “you are welcome to the progressives family.’’

“Sen. Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North District, Delta State, was presented to President Buhari and National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) at the State House by Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.

“The Deputy Senate President said Senator Nwaoboshi’s decision to join the APC clearly shows that the effort of the CECPC was yielding fruit.
