BREAKING!! Messy Imo Property Fight: ex-Governor Okorocha Docked
Owelle Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo State alongside 13 others, were on Monday docked after the police arraigned them before Justice D. U Adikaibe of Chief Magistrate Court 4, in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
BIGPENNGR.COM reports that the court, however granted bail to the ex-governor in the sum of five million naira.
Other accused persons including the former Commissioner for Transport, Lasbery Okafor Anyanwu and former local government chairman of Orlu LGA, Ijeoma Igboanusi, are to also deposit N5million each before the court.
The court also ordered that each of the accused persons would provide a prominent traditional ruler to sign for their surety.
It would be recalled that the former Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Sunday broke into the royal spring palm apartments and hotels said to be owned by his wife, Nkechi Okorocha, alongside his foot soldiers.
The Senator was reportedly arrested and detained by the state police after clashing with some government functionaries.
Meanwhile, the case had been adjourned to 18th of March, 2021.
