Niger School Kidnap: Details As Gunmen Kill One Teenager, Whisk Away Many Students, Staff
Fresh details have emerged to how suspects believed to be armed bandits killed a teenage student and abducted a large number of other students at Government Science College (GSC) Kagara, in Niger State.
BIGPENNGR.COM understands that the gunmen reportedly stormed the school Tuesday night wearing military uniforms.
According to earlier reports in PRNigeria, the suspects stormed the school premises which has a population of about 1000 students on Tuesday night, overpowered the security guard, before whisking away the students.
The report says after a headcount was conducted at the school on Wednesday, 280 students are yet to be accounted for including three teaching staff, one clerk, wife and six children of a staff member in the college.
According to the report, some students escaped during the raid, while another was killed on the school premises by the bandits.
As of press time, security agencies were able to detect the coordinate and nature of the area, and have started tracing the bandits’ movement while NAF aircraft have been seen hovering in the air to track the location of the students.
